Florida Keys Harbor Services, Inc. is a Florida Corporation established in 1978, which provides commercial quick response marine salvage and emergency on the water, assistance in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. We also provide ship-assist tugs to the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, N.A.T.O. and the Cruise Ships visiting Key West. Coastwise Towing of Ships and Barges, Pilot Boat Launch service for the U.S. Navy, Civilian Ship Pilots and Water Taxi Service for passing Ships and Tugs.
We are the largest marine assistance towing company in the Florida Keys and we have the capability and the skill to do anything from take gas to a jetski out of fuel, to towing in a disabled ship or a tug & barge.
For the larger jobs and /or salvage we use our harbor tugs: Tug Capt. Diane 110' Twin Screw 3000hp and the Tug Capt. Jim 65' twin screw 1200hp. We use our two, 25’ Panga’s, mv Florida Keys #8 & #9 with for work in close to shore or in shallow water. Our primary vessel we use for marine assistance towing, parts delivery, crew changes and Pilot Boat service, is our 38' m/v C.O. Jones.
Florida Keys Harbor Service caseloads include assisting vessels with fuel exhaustion, steering failure, capsizing, sinking, stranding, towing and recovery.
