Every trip with River-Rage includes FREE all-day shuttle service, USCG approved life-vest, and choice of tube-run. After parking, and changing into your swimsuit, you will board a shuttle bus for your short ride to the starting point. All of our tube trips take place in the pristine Little River. This river is famous for its crystal clear waters, and the never-ending scenery that surrounds you. There are some exciting mountain rapids, and some slower moving water-perfect for family time. When you arrive back you are welcome to take a break or get on the bus to go again! Tuckaleechee Caverns - Known as the "Greatest Site Under the Smokies," these caves have a long and colorful history. The caves are believed to be 20 and 30 million years old, carved out by the steady drip of water running underneath one of the planet's oldest mountain ranges, the Smoky Mountains. Legend says that the Cherokee Indians used the caves as hiding places. In the 1800s there were reports of a "cool spot" near a sink hole in the area -- local women would bring their sewing here in the summertime to cool off. Then, in the 1930s, the caves were briefly opened to the public, but were closed again during the Depression. In 1953 the cave was re-opened, and in 1954 the National Speleological Society discovered the "big room," a dramatic space that's 400 feet long and 300 feet across.

At that time it was inhabited by a small mountain community who originally called it "Kate's Cove" after an Indian chief's wife. Today it's the largest open-air museum in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Travel through the park by car, by bike, or on horseback, touring the original pioneer cabins, barns, homesteads, and farms. You'll see fields of wildflowers and wildlife like deer, squirrels, and possibly even bears as you travel through this scenic wilderness.
